👓 Visiting Parliament
The UK Parliament
Members of the public can attend debates at the Palace of Westminster by visiting the public galleries in both the House of Commons and the House of Lords.
You can request tickets in advance by writing to your local MP, or you can line up at the public entrance on the day of the debate. Admission is free of charge. However, there may be long queues, particularly for the House of Commons, with wait times of one to two hours. Access to the House of Lords is usually easier.
