Cricket is a game that started in England a long time ago, in the late 16th century. Now, it's played in lots of countries around the world. One of the most famous cricket competitions is called the Ashes, and it happens every two years between England and Australia.

In cricket, there are two teams with eleven players each. They play on a field that's round or oval-shaped, with a special area called the pitch in the middle. The aim of the game is to score more runs than the other team.
